Starterbase Contest — The first builds of the Season

When we kicked off the Starter Base Contest, we expected a handful of cozy hideouts and simple starter homes.
What we got instead was a full spread of creativity: from compact cabins to multi-layered outposts, every submission brought something unique to the server. Early on, things were quiet. Then, in classic Everwaves fashion, bases started getting sent in and we got a super nice showcase of the bases!

How did people enter the competition?
To join the Starter Base Contest, players simply had to share screenshots of their in-game base on r/everwaves. Submissions needed to include the player’s IGN in the title, and could showcase anything from layout to lighting, interior design to redstone tricks. There were no strict size limits or themes — just a focus on early-game creativity and functionality. Whether it was a kiwi, a tower, or a hidden cave, every base had a shot.

🏆 Meet the Top Builds
First Honor — habibiFriedRice
Check out his awesome sci-fi build that impressed the judges here.
Second Step — Driftveil (Lyux, Lonedraw & Shadow)
Great usage of the colour white with a awesome ship to finish this crazy starter base. You can check it out here.
Third Stone — Aeroseat
What a awesome build and a great challenge to create without using a elytra. Check it out here.
All three top entries stood out not just in looks, but in how well they captured the spirit of early-game creativity. From smart layouts to bold design choices, each build had something that made it memorable — and for that, they’ve earned more than just bragging rights. The winners received a custom reward pack tailored to their effort, with a handpicked selection of premium items to kickstart whatever they build next.

🪶 Early Bird Reward
Before the last-minute rush, a few players were quick to submit their bases early — and that didn’t go unnoticed. As a small nod to their initiative, each early entrant received an exclusive Twilight Quill: a glowing, custom-named feather with a touch of visual flair. It’s purely cosmetic, but 100% brag-worthy. Only a handful of players have it, and no more will be given out.

🎁 Participation Rewards
Even if you didn’t make it into the top three, submitting a build came with its own perks. Every participant earned a Builder’s Kit, packed with core materials and aesthetic blocks — everything needed to fuel the next big idea. From logs and stone to lighting and glass, it’s a practical thank-you to everyone who took the time to contribute.

🌊 What’s Next?
This was just the first wave. We’re already working on the next community event — whether it’s a themed build challenge, a server-wide hunt, or something completely new, you won’t want to miss it.
Even outside of official events, we love seeing what you're working on. If you post your builds, creations, or progress shots on r/everwaves, there's always a chance you'll get noticed — and maybe even rewarded. Whether it’s a full base tour or just a cool little detail, if it stands out, we might drop something your way.
Thanks to everyone who took part, spectated or just lurked — we hope to see even more of you in the next round. Until then, keep building, keep exploring, and keep the server lively.
Be cool, follow the rules, keep Everwaves good. 🏄♂️
